I was going to post on Facebook a question asking what people learned about 1919 up through high school graduation.  Figured post secondary education has higher odds of learning about this aspect of 1919.  However the author commentary in final chapter addressed this aspect of American history education.  I decided not to post the question.  A bit curious how current high school history classes address not only 1919 but so much of the other history I have taken in over the last eight years of audiobooks.

Highly recommend this book.  Prepare to have your eyes go wide in shock more than once….along with wondering why events of this scale have been skipped in the education system for so long.  There was also a mention of some Black Americans not singing the national anthem that summer.
